The AMC team  encompasses a wide range of talents. The team is comprised of 5 Doctors, 1 large animal technician, 4 mixed animal technicians, 11 small animal technicians, 3 receptionists and an office manager. Each member of the team contributes their own unique set of skills, allowing the practice to be well versed in your veterinary needs.

 Meet the Doctors

GreerScot Greer, DVM, one of our senior vets, has been with AMC for 39 years. He specializes in orthopedic surgeries and enjoys caring for exotic animals.

Dr. Greer grew up on a family farm in Diamond Mo., were he found his passion for agriculture and veterinary sciences. He transferred from Crowder College, with an Associate of Science, to the University of Missouri, where he graduated from the  College of Veterinary Medicine in 1985.

With his wife Diana, Dr. Greer lives on a farm in Marshfield Mo. They have 5 talented children; Seth, Jessie, Hannah, Ben and Wyatt. In his free time, Dr. Greer likes to travel with his family, visiting beautiful wonders like the Grand Canyon and Noah’s Ark. He also enjoys spending time with his grandchildren; Atticus, Philo, Zula, Quigley and Fyan.

MaxMax Hartman, DVM, another senior vet, grew up Northwest of here in a town called Hutchinson Ks. He grew up on a family farm raising crops, beef cattle and hogs on the plains of Kansas.

Dr. Hartman studied at Kansas State University and graduated from the Veterinary School in 1982. He then, with his family, traveled south to Monett Mo. where he  practiced for three years before finding his home in Marshfield.

In his free time, Dr. Hartman and Carol, his wife, enjoy growing and maintaining there SimAngus herd of beef cattle his kids used to show growing up. He also enjoys spending time with his family and tailriding on horseback though different parts of the Ozarks.

Martin

Tyler Martin, DVM grew up in small town Centralia Mo., where his passion for animal health care stemmed from showing livestock at county fairs as well as state fairs.  Showing cattle, hogs and goats, Dr. Martin learned the fundamentals of the livestock industry. Dr. Martin Continued his interest in animal science at the University of Missouri and graduated in 2017 from the College of Veterinary Medicine.

In his free time, Dr. Martin enjoys spending time with his wife, Jasmine, daughter, Emma and Son Mason. They enjoy  the outdoors and playing with their dog. Dr. Martin also loves football season and claims to be a “die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan.”

McKay

Colleen McKay, DVM grew up  in the small town of Plattsburg, Mo., about an hour north of Kansas City. Dr. McKay received her first dog when she was 6 years old. Since then, she has never lived a day without at least one animal. She has owned a rabbit, a duck, multiple dogs and multiple horses.

Dr. McKay Graduated from Missouri State University in 2014 with a BS in Animal Science and a minor in Equine studies. Dr. McKay started vet school in 2014 and graduated May of 2018 from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation, she immediately started her career at AMC.

Luckily, it’s not all work and no play. In her free time, Dr. McKay enjoys spending time with her husband Andrew and her menagerie of farm animals and dogs. She also enjoys horseback riding, traveling with friends and spending time with her niece.

LucasLucas Burchfield DVM is our newest associate veterinarian and 2024 graduate. He practices as a mixed practice veterinarian, showing interest in all species from food animal to pet animal.

He is a 5th generation Marshfield resident who grew up on a small farm just outside of town. On the farm is where his interest in agriculture and animal medicine took hold.  He learned many farm management styles and doctored a variety of livestock and poultry.

He attained an animal science degree from College of the Ozarks before transferring to the University of Missouri and graduating from the College of Veterinary Medicine.

He enjoys the outdoors and spending free time with family and friends. He also enjoys the open road and has traveled to various places in the intent to visit all 50 states.

If he is not around the clinic, you can probably find him and his girlfriend, Haven, in a kayak or fishing by the lake with thier 3 dogs.

Dr. Ben Greer

Ben Greer, DVM , also a 2024 graduate, grew up on a family-owned farm in our hometown of Marshfield, Mo. On the farm, he cultivated a passion for agriculture and animal husbandry which grew a desire to pursue veterinary medicine.

After graduating high school, he spent 2 years in Diamond, Mo. managing his grandparents farm while attending Crowder College. He then transferred to Missouri State university and completed his BS in Animal Science before finishing his education at MU College of Veterinary Medicine.

 Dr. Ben Greer is a mixed practice veterinarian with a heavy interest in Food animal. In his down time, he loves working and restoring tractors and machinery as well as building and welding things that help ease farm management. He also enjoys spending time with his family and his many nieces and nephews.
